The Hope Committee regularly puts on events to raise funds and to promote the town.
Stanford Festival
The annual town festival has proved very popular and brings literally thousands of local people into the town centre to celebrate Stanford-Le-Hope. This is held the first weekend of July
The music festival is held on the saturday and more information on the music festival can be found here.
On the sunday the town comes alive with live music/bands/singers, dancing, stalls selling everything from cards, plants, to all types of food ( not a chance of going hungry as theres different food to cater for all tastes and much, much more, to see and do.
Its a fun day for the whole family, young and old alike, something that cant be missed.

Christmas In Stanford-Le-Hope
In stanford-le-hope we have lots of events planned in the run up to christmas.
To really get you in the christmas spirit (and no i dont mean opening up the port, though we wont say no to maybe a small glass!).
We have carols by candle light, that takes place in St.Margaret's Church and then there's Carols on The Green (dont let the thought of singing put you off, its fun, honest, and if i cant convince you then maybe a mince pie or two will).
Carols on the Green takes place at 4pm on 11/12/11, come along, sing a few carols and get into the christmas spirit.
Carols by Candlelight takes place in St.Margaret's Church at 6.30pm on the 18/12/11, so please if you can come along, please do so, both events are lovely and lets us all share the joy of christmas together.
